Max Kelly is a drummer based in Los Angeles, CA.

His signature 'Hybrid Drumming' style sees him playing syncopated drum beats and complex keyboard riffs at the same time.
This combines with ferocious metal drumming, dazzling performance antics, and a deep and abiding dedication to the craft of drumming to create a style unlike any other.

I have had the privilege of working with some incredibly talented musicians and being a part of their projects.

I am currently involved with 3 bands:

  • 5-piece intergalactic rock outfit Drift, with whom I've recently toured the USA and Europe in support of various bands, including Soulfly & Cradle of Filth, and played festivals such as Rock Fest with 35,000 attendees.

  • Progressive rock duo BANTAMWEIGHT, which displays my 'Hybrid Drumming' in its full effect. We were named ProgArchy's Best Prog Rock Find of 2022.

  • Boisterous 80's rock tribute act Stay Tuned, which performs frequently around Southern California.
